Football Agent Systems Hub
Deep technical dives into every game mechanic
The systems hub is the mechanical layer under the guides. Guides tell you what to click in week one. These pages explain why a scout report is thin, why a club will not meet a fee, why an event will not take no for an answer, and why a mastery bonus did or did not add client slots. Read them when a rule feels arbitrary. They are community notes from play, not studio manuals, and they will move when Early Access patches move.
Football Agent entered Steam Early Access on 25 August 2026. Two late-August announcements rebuilt parts of this layer: Season Archive and player Career History on the career side, a transfer market that carries club spending forward, event volume caps, and relationship gestures that money can no longer pump without limit. Start from the matching article below, then confirm the date against the patch notes.
Finding players and talking
- Scouting — the network model, mission length, report quality, and how league access opens. Pair this with the how to scout walkthrough when you are still sending your first people.
- Negotiations — enquiry, trial, contract, interest, and rival interruption. Use it when a deal stalls for a reason the guide summary is too short to cover.
Money, matches, and the week
- Transfer market — living budgets, fee caps, mega transfers as the exception, and sell-on. The 27 August 2026 rebuild is the reason this page exists as a living note rather than a static fee table.
- Staff and agency — scouts, lawyers, analysts, press, physios, office stages, and the cash floor that keeps a save from ending.
- Matches — the two-dimensional match engine, minutes, form, and how watching a client is not a tactics board.
- Random events — choices, unpaid options after the first hotfixes, and the later cap that stops the same prompt from repeating and from flooding a month.
- Economy — commission, operating costs, bankruptcy, and how Empire Builder and Dynasty now grant +2 player capacity including academy graduates.
- Career — My Career, Season Archive (awards, champions, cup winners), and the player Career History tab (matches, goals, assists, rating, OVR by season).
How these pages relate
A transfer argument that ignores economy will misread a club that is carrying last season’s spend. An event page that ignores negotiations will miss why walking away from a player prompt costs bond. A career page that ignores matches will treat archive numbers as flavour instead of evidence. Cross-links on each article exist so you can walk that square without returning here every time.
When a patch lands, read the notes first, then the one system that changed, then the guide that teaches the habit. The roadmap lists what is still planned: a larger database, more event and negotiation branches, achievements, deeper balance, quality of life, extra languages if demand is there, and data or name-pack import.
These pages assume a Steam save and a willingness to re-read after hotfixes. They will be wrong in places until the next announcement. That is the cost of documenting a game that is still being balanced in public.
Leave this hub with one rule in your head — minutes, fees, events, or capacity — and open the article that owns that rule. Systems writing is useful when it stops you repeating the same expensive click.
