Football Agent Guides Hub

This hub is the practical path through Football Agent: how you scout, how you talk a player into signing, how you keep him improving, and how you turn one spare-room desk into an agency that other agents notice. The pages below are written from play, not from a marketing sheet. Read them in order if you are new. Jump by keyword if you already have a save and a specific problem.

Football Agent entered Steam Early Access on 25 August 2026. The systems described here will move as patches land, so treat every number as current to the latest notes rather than carved in stone. When a rule changes, the patch notes and the roadmap are the first places to look.

Start here

New agents burn cash before they earn a commission. The opening trio is meant to stop that:

  • Getting started — panels, first client, early cash rules, and the fail state of bankruptcy.
  • Your first client — the unsigned player you begin with, and how to get him a club before the operating costs eat the bank.
  • How to play — the first-season walkthrough: what to do in week one, what not to promise, and when to expand.

If you only bookmark one page on day one, make it getting started. Come back to first client when the opening negotiation stalls.

Finding and signing players

Scouting is a network, not a drop-down of every footballer on earth. You send people, you wait, you read reports, then you spend weeks talking.

  • How to scout — missions, report quality, and how the map opens.
  • Wonderkids — young high-potential targets, minutes, and why a ceiling in three seasons is no longer the default after the late-August development pass.
  • How to sign clients — enquiry, trial, contract, rival interruptions, and commission.
  • League coverage — 115 leagues across 44 countries and 1,900 clubs, and which tiers to touch in season one versus season five.

Do not try to cover England, Spain, and a Balkan third tier in the same month. The league page is there to stop that habit.

After the signature

A signed client who sits is a wasting asset. Development, sales, and agency growth are separate skills.

  • How to develop clients — matches, morale, injuries, and playing-time promises that now actually affect minutes.
  • How to sell players — bidding, sell-on clauses, and timing against a market that now carries club spending into later seasons.
  • How to grow your agency — staff, offices, reputation, and the cash floor that keeps a save alive.
  • Rival agents — interception, reputation damage, and why a long negotiation is an open door.

How to use this hub

Read one vertical at a time. If you are bleeding money, stay in start-here and growth. If you cannot find names, stay in scouting and leagues. If deals keep collapsing, stay in signing and rivals. Cross-links on each page point sideways so you do not have to return here for every hop, but this index is the map when you forget which article owns a question.

Football Agent is a single-player agent career, not a tactics board. These guides assume you own the Steam build and have at least one save. They are fan notes, not studio documentation. When the systems hub disagrees with a guide after a patch, trust the newer date.

Close this hub by picking the next action in your actual save — send a cheap scout, finish a stalled enquiry, or stop spending — then open the matching article with that action in mind. Guides pay off when they change what you click this week, not when they sit in a tab.
